California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Disclosure

(in compliance with Cal. Civ. Code 1714.43)

At Sunsweet, we recognize the critical role we play in offering healthy fruits and beverages to our loyal and discerning consumers around the world. The vast majority of our products are grown in California, delivered to Sunsweet by our own owner-growers. However, we also source certain unique fruits and ingredients from other countries, and doing this sustainably requires that we balance the social, environmental and economic benefits and risks of all such products, including how they are procured, manufactured and used. Sunsweet is committed to ensuring that our supply chain reflects Sunsweet's values and respect for human rights and the environment. Strategic suppliers play a key role in our efforts to ensure that we manage our global supply chain in a sustainable way.

Sunsweet's relationships with suppliers are based on lawful, efficient and fair practices. We expect our suppliers to obey the laws that require them to treat workers fairly, provide a safe and healthy work environment and protect environmental quality when producing the products they provide to Sunsweet. These expectations are set out in the Sunsweet Code of Conduct and the Sunsweet Supplier Sustainability Guidelines.

Sunsweet itself assesses the majority of its core suppliers. On an annual basis, suppliers are selected using a risk-based approach with supplier participation mandatory. Sunsweet personnel who perform on-site audits are trained in auditing techniques to recognize and report non-compliance with our requirements and expectations. In addition, all relevant Sunsweet personnel are trained to recognize environment, health, safety, and labor red flags, including red flags relating to forced labor, and to report and investigate all suspicions of improper conduct at all suppliers globally. While third-party auditors are employed to conduct some types of on-site audits, the majority of our examinations are performed by Sunsweet personnel, subject to further occasional reviews by Sunsweet's Corporate Audit Staff. Failure to meet the Sunsweet Supplier Sustainability Guidelines or other Sunsweet expectations may result in termination of the supplier relationship.

Since implementing this assessment process, Sunsweet continues to educate its procurement organization and others in the organization on this process and the Supplier Sustainability Guidelines. Further educational efforts regarding these expectations may include individual instructional meetings and materials, seminars, and computer-based training, and will focus on how employees can assist Sunsweet in mitigating risks within its supply chain.
